Natalie Grinder

Natalie Grinder, Digital Media Editor

Natalie Grinder is a senior at Portage Northern. This will be her third year on the NL staff. This year, Natalie is the Digital Media Manager, and the year before she was the Associate Digital Media Manager. Natalie says she took journalism because “it gives me the opportunity to write about something that interests me and that can interest others as well. I think writing is a great way to express yourself.” She says that the class is  kind, caring, generous, and selfless and she thinks of them as a family. She says her favorite thing about the class is, “how we all work together and are like a family.”

Hutchings studies Korean. “The hardest part is that I have to teach myself,” she said. “I have video resources and that watch, and I also have textbooks. I also watch YouTube videos that give you exercises to do, use flashcards, and force myself to read in Korean. I also have a few friends who live in Korea, and they help, too.” Photo by Sandie Hutchings.
