Sloan Markin is a sophomore who has always wanted to be a member of an official newspaper staff. She is thriving in her first year with the NL: “I am liking the independent working schedule and the happy class environment everyone seems to bring,” she says. “I am hoping to be able to learn more about journalism and change minds through the power of writing!” Sloan is also a member of the school’s cheerleading and forensics teams and is a competitive figures skater outside of school.
