This is senior Olivia Coughlin’s first year on staff. She is proficient at journalistic writing and is interested in fictional and informative styles as well. “Dr. Thorpe recommended this class to me last year while I was in her IB English I, and it sounded awesome,” Olivia says. “My favorite thing about this class is the freedom we get to have as far as writing topics go. It’s great to be able to choose what we want to write about instead of being told we must write about something that doesn’t interest us.” 

Even if Olivia is a newcomer, “the class is definitely fun to be in,” she says.
