Sense of responsibility: PN’s MYIG travel to Albion

MYIG students squad up at recent leadership conference at Albion College.

“Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other’s welfare, social justice can not be obtained, ” said Helen Keller. And Portage Northern’s local chapter of Michigan Youth In Government (MYIG) are stepping up their sense of responsibilty for all of us.

Amber Dixon, MYIG Adviser, recently traveled to Albion College to help train Northern’s students for the leadership conference that takes place in the spring. PN’s sophomore Kyle Vickery was selected as Lietenant Governor to preside over the veterans in teh State Senate Chamber in the Capital Building.

Congratulations, Northern MYIG, and thanks for stepping up for all of us!
