2005 fangirls are rising out of the ground with the resurgence of the amazing brother trio, the Jonas Brothers. Released on March 1st, 2019, their new single “Sucker” debuted at number 1 on the US Spotify and Apple Music charts. It also rapidly climbed to top the iTunes charts. With a catchy beat and relatable lyrics for those who think they’re in love every three days, it’s not surprising.

The music video, released just a day later, features all three JoBros along with their wives.  It’s all a big party, and a fever dream to rival that of Alice in Wonderland. However, when you pair the lyrics with the starring ladies of the video and their lives, you see how they match up. In the very first verse, Nick, the youngest performing Jonas Brother, sings, “I’m feeling heat in December” which is a nod to when he and wife, Priyanka Chopra, got married. Beyond that, the first time they say “I’m a sucker for you” is also the first time viewers see their wives. The video is absolutely chock full of symbolism, all pointing to the love that all 3 have in their lives.

The song is destined to do well. Everyone has been waiting for certain bands to come back and the Jonas Brothers are one of them. It’s an ear worm in its purest form from the oldest Jonas Brothers. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that there’s no cameo from the Bonus Jones, Frankie Jonas.
