MVP of the MONTH – Stew Sell
October 12, 2013
Most little kids are stuck in daycare or preschool all day while their parents are at work. But Portage Northern Junior Stew Sell is not like most kids. While his mom worked at West Hills Athletic Club, he would attend tennis lessons there. His five year old self fell in love with the sport. After winning the first tournament he ever played in at just nine years old, Sell knew that this sport was something he wanted to be doing for a long time. “My biggest accomplishments are playing number one singles on varsity since freshman year and winning 22 tournaments,” Sell said. So far this season he is undefeated. Sell is working hard, motivated by his goal of making it to the state tournament, and nothing will stand in his way.
