Pink sky, pink spirit, and even some pink Under Armour on our Huskies all played a role this past Friday night. The football team captured a playoff birth beating Benton Harbor 36-12. The team will await their playoff foes for the start of the state tourney. Head coach Pete Schermerhorn said, “We are looking forward to finding out who we are going to play, and we are motivated to get out of the first round and make a deep run.” Heather Prentice, Northern’s Competitive Cheer Coach, was inducted into the Competitive Cheer Hall of Fame, and her squad, as usual, cheered with precision and spirit. And as usual, the Northern Super Fans did their part bringing the victory home. Finally, Josh Bartz’s marching band put on another amazing show with “Ugly.”
