Out of all the games I have ever played, one that I finished just about one week ago has hit me the hardest in terms of story and emotion: a charming indie game by the name of In Stars and Time. The premise is rather simple–you play as Siffrin, an adventurer going to fight the evil king that’s attempting to freeze the entire nation of Vaugarde in time forever, but there’s a catch…Siffrin is stuck in a time loop. Play along and watch how he struggles to escape it, and how he tries his best to solve the problems of his friends, all while dealing with his own mental health issues. It is a solid 10/10, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys story-driven games.
